Thousand sons boxsets

Greetings one and all,

Today we're going to look at the new Thousand sons combat patrol and warpflame thrallband battleforce, let's get into it.

The Warpflame Thrallband is the bigger of the two boxsets and is the limited edition version.

It contains

3 Exalted sorcerers

5 Scarborough occult terminators

10 Rubic Marines

4 Sekhetar Robots

All this for £150 if the trend of these battleforce boxsets holds.

Now working out a price for this has been difficult to say to say the least as we don't know the price of the Sekhetar Robots or even how many there will be in their normal retail box so I've had to guess. If they retail for the same price as a box of terminators that your only saving £12 on this boxset (which is a saving ill grant). However if the boxset matches previous saving which are in the £45-£50 ball park then I'd suggest they'll be in boxes of two model with each retailing at £37 ish which would then give you a saving of £44. It's been the hardest boxset to price up recently.

As for the boxset upon release it will be the only way to get Sekhetar Robots with their release a few weeks later (as per GW tradition) so that alone might make this boxset worth it.

Combat patrol: thousand sons

So this one was easier no speculation needed. In this boxset you get

1 Daemon Prince

10 Rubic Marines

1 Tzaangor Shamon

3 Tzaangor enlighten

We know that combat patrols retail at £100 all the models added up cost £153.50 at retail price so that's a saving of 53.50 which isn't bad to be fair.

Overall not a bad pair of boxsets though I don't see anyone buying more then one.

Until next time, bye.
