Greetings one and all,
Today we're gonna have a quick look at the MK II Powered Armour, its lore, and what the new kits have to offer. So get your armour serfs to suit you up and dive into it.
Lore
The MK II powered Armour was the first fully sealed armour available to the space marines. The previous MK I (thunder armour) was only partially powered, not void sealed and primarily focused on providing enhanced strength to the upper body.

The MK II was a complete redesign and was a fully powered suit, void sealed and radiation hardened. It came with a whole host of extra features including auto senses, advanced life support equipment such as air-scrubbing, fluid recycling and emergency medical first aid systems.

This was the armour that carried the great Crusade for 200 years, yes it's true the MK III was developed but wasn't adopted on the same scale as the MK II it's is only at the end of the great Crusade with the MK IV that the legions started to phase out the MK II.
Models

With the upcoming release of Saturnine the MK II is getting brand new model kits and it's not just tactical squads, assault marines and a centurion are getting models too. Furthermore, GW has stated that the special, heavy and melee weapon upgrade kits will be compatible with these new MK II kits, which is great.

As expected you'll find everything you need in the tactical squads kit to build a Sergeant, Vexilla and Vox. While the assault marines will have chainaxes! (About bloody time GW!) Upon release I would expect the models to cost that same as their current counterparts that's £52.50 and £44 respectively.
Breachers

As an aside, breachers are finally getting a plastic kit, most likely of ten models per box like the assault marines (though I wouldn't mind being wrong and the box size being 20). If GW stays true to form they might also be compatible with the previously mentioned kit, though I must admit I'm not sure how. Obviously the breachers are in MK III power armour but I would suspect the shields will be compatible with any power armour MK. I should stress these are going to be released some time later in the year and I'd expect them to be about the £44 mark.
Right there you go, an overview on the MK II and little added bonus with the Breachers.
I hope you enjoyed this overview and I'll be sure to do a kit review when I get my hands on the models.
Goodbye for now all.
